Gioia Tours, founded by Roberto and Andreas in 2006, is based in both Rome and Pisa (Tuscany), consists in an exclusive team of expert driving guides and local guides providing quality, owner-experienced, tours and excursions. In 2012, through Roberto, Gioia Tours merged with My Best Tour with the goal of modernizing city sightseeing by car, steering it in the direction of ecology and zero impact tourism, thus using electric golf carts for city tours instead of minivans. The electric golf carts also make the city sites available to everyone, especially to those with reduced mobility, and touring more fun for the kids. However, Gioia Tours and My Best Tour aren’t only about golf cart tours, any kind of tour and excursion in Italy is available, such as walking tours of the Vatican and Colosseum, excursions by car to the countryside, day trips to the most beautiful places in Italy, or shore excursions for cruisers.
Roberto is a third-generation cultural driver/guide.
Rome, with her myriad antiquities, museums, galleries, and churches, has always been home to Roberto, and it is his great pleasure and passion to share his love for and knowledge of his city and her treasures with you, his client-guests.
Later, in 2012, yet continuing his partnership with Andreas, as he felt the need of taking city sightseeing to the next level, Roberto joined with Paolo and Fabrizio, who had also been in the tour business for decades, and founded My Best Tour.
In fact, My Best Tour’s goal is to modernize city sightseeing by car in the direction of ecology and zero impact tourism, thus using electric golf carts for city tours instead of minivans.
Andreas, German from Munich, made of Tuscany his home almost thirty years ago and he even speaks Italian with a Tuscan accent and inflection now.
He loves to share his intimate knowledge of all the various regions of Italy and Europe, which he has come to know intimately, as a result of the many kilometers he has traveled on scenic highways and back roads. Although he is able and happy to conform to the restrictions of a conventional itinerary, it is his great passion to take his client-guests to non-typical locations, when possible, in an effort to expose them to the true heart of Italy. Even on a bicycle if you like! Andreas also specializes in multi-country adventures and speaks fluent English as well as German and Italian.
